In the run-up to attending the NYE London fireworks, I wandered around the area killing some time while waiting for the 9.30pm kick-off. Daylight was fading and I was struck by the lights cloaking the BFI as I made my way from Waterloo (seeing the Landscape Photographer of the Year exhibit) to Covent Garden. I could see St Paul’s though the building so I grabbed a few shots with my XE-1+35mm while the light was fading from daylight to night. The lighting around the building is truly spell-binding at this time of day… and of course fitted in perfectly with the season of Christmas.
